Evaporative Cooling

evaporative cooling ... and your budget

Evaporative Cooling use a fraction of the energy that a refrigerant system uses. Based on Wilkenfeld data and manufactures data, it is estimated that an equivalent 9.8kW cooling unit would be required to cool the base case house.  We are also assuming that it costs approximately 5.7c per hour in electricity  to run evaporative units for one hour. All calculations are based on the home energy star rating of the homes cooling requirements and a 9.8kW unit being used to cool 154.2m2.
